General Cotton's Command Stand

I didn't put a whole lot of time into the other figure, and you can see that when I snapped the photo, the glue was still wet on the ADC figure. Anyway, here's a shot of the command stand without any terrain added to it.

Hi Mark,
I'm a new follower and I really like your painting style.
What are the colors to obtain a red so vibrant?
I found very interesting also your article about how to paint laces, today I'll try immediately!

Hi Paolo

For red in 15mm, I use a black primer, then a shade color of maroon, and highlight of either Valejo Vermilion or Reaper Firehawk red. I've found that with the smaller scales, the colors need to be brighter to look right on the figure. I don't use more than two tones on 15mm, either. I just thin out the highlight color and give it multiple coats to create the illusion of depth. Thanks for asking!
